Igen-Nur comes from a Turkish family from Wendlingen am Neckar. She learned the piano, then the guitar, and moved to Hamburg in 2015, then 19 years old. Their first EP, “No Emotions”, was produced by Max Riemer (Die Nerven), Paul Pötsch from the band Trümmer helped as a multi-instrumentalist. Ilgen-Nur's highly acclaimed debut album, “Power Nap”, was released in 2019. With her guitar pop songs, Ilgen-Nur refers to the casual attitude of Kate Nash and Courtney Barnett, whose music she heard at the age of ten.
